Continuation of the "savings at home" programme

Noting the continued interest of citizens to participate in the "Home Savings" Programme and the momentum that has been created in the market, it is announced that the submission of applications continues. Entry into the Programme will be on a first come, first served basis, until the resources per Region are exhausted.

To date, the number of applications to banks exceeds 30,000, of which about 15,000 have been pre-approved for a loan.

In addition, taking into account the assessment of the energy needs of buildings from the inspections carried out so far and the economic situation, the Programme is amended as follows:

Eligible for the programme are buildings constructed until 31.12.1989 and located in areas with a zone price of up to 2.100 €/sq.m.

It is possible to apply for individual apartments in a block of flats without any conditions

The income categories of the beneficiaries are changed from three to two and the corresponding incentives are as follows:

Category A

Owners of eligible homes whose individual or family declared income does not exceed €40,000 or €60,000 respectively.

The incentives include an interest rate subsidy of 100% (interest-free loan) combined with a grant of 35%.

Category B

Owners of eligible homes whose individual or family declared income is between €40,000 and €60,000 or €60,000 and €80,000 respectively.

The incentives include an interest rate subsidy of 100% (interest-free loan) combined with a grant of 15%.The classification in the above categories is based on the latest available income tax return.

It is also noted that:

The savings to be achieved by the Programme's interventions correspond to 30% of the reference building's consumption

Eligible costs include all additional works and interventions required for the technically correct completion of the interventions, such as dismantling/removal and removal, interventions on the roof (e.g. replacement of tiles), etc. Also included in the category 'replacement of frames and shading systems' is the installation of non-fixed external shading systems.

In order to accelerate the disbursement of the grants, the maximum time for the implementation of the interventions is reduced to 4 months from the signing of the loan agreement. Finally, it is clarified that the applications that have been submitted to date and meet the conditions will be immediately included in the programme, while the above amendments to the terms of the programme will also apply to these applications.
